Call US for free from India

There are to options which I found to make absolutely free calls to US Mobile and land Phones.

1. iCall

The icall is having three options for making free calls to US.

1.For the desktop - It requires Windows XP or Vista, a headset or microphone, and a broadband Internet connection.

 

 

 

2.For the web - Make free phone calls from anywhere in the world with just a web browser.

 

 

3.For the iPhone - iCall supports the iPhone, iPhone 3G and the iPod Touch.

These all services are ad supported and you will have to hear a 10 – 20 sec of advertisement before the call.

For the Desktop version the free call can be done for about 5 minutes but for the web version the free call is only limited to 2 minutes.

 

2. Calling America

This a new site launched recently but the it is better than icall as Calling America is giving 15 minutes of free calls to US phones from any part of the world. They have only a web version at present and the main attraction is that if you sign up for free you will get unlimited calls to US!!!

Gmail Error in Opera Browser

 

                      This is an error which I get regularly get when I am opening my gmail in opera browser Version 9.52. After some checking of mails and when I click on the inbox icon the page comes to as seen above.. After this the whole gmail becomes as if it has hanged and no options will work. Only way to get rid of this problem is to close the tab and open new one. I don’t know why gmail team has not rectified this problem. I am finding this error for the past 2 months. Hope this post will come into there eyes and soon rectify this problem.

Lottery Scam in Indian Mobiles too

          

 

            We all might be familiar with the lottery scams which flood our inbox. Today I received a sms from EUROMILLION as the sender stating that my mobile no has won a prize.. The content of the sms was:  “Congratulation!!! Your mobile phone number has won GBPounds:13,447,500 in the ongoing EUROMILLION MOBILE PROMO. winning #2,19,28,42,49(27)For clams call +447017848035 or email:andrewrichard2009@live.in : www.national-lottery.com/results/euromillion.asp “. This was the contents of the sms.

 

If this is the case many illiterate Indians will be a sure prey of this fraud trick.

How to Establish Internet Fastly in Airtel's Mobile Office ?

               I am using a Nokia 6681 as my personal mobile and a regular subscriber of Mobile Office (Airtel's Internet pack @250). I am mainly using Opera Mini 4 for my browsing. But the fault which I found was the time delay in connecting to the network. It takes more than a minute to establish the connection during peak hours.

So now recently I found out a solution for establishing  the Internet connection fastly with the help of Mundu Radio.

The methed is like this

Register for a account radio.mundu.com and download the Mundu radio.

         So when you want to browse the Net on Phone and there is a difficulty in establishing connection, Start mundu radio and login, Now you will see how fastly the Gprs connects. Minimize this application by the cancel Key and start Opera mini. This application automatically uses the earlier established connection for its requirement.

Mundu Radio can be used for listening to online radio so enjoy radio....But be aware that if you are not having unlimited plans you account will drain easily!

MapmyIndia and version 2.0 of 'Google Maps for mobile'

2.  Now go to http://www.mytoday.com/ and register your mobile. This can be done by sending sms REG to 9845398453. This will cost you 2 to 3 Rupees based on the operator.

3.  Now Mytoday will send you your password to your mobile.

 

4.  Login to you Mytoday account using

Username: mobile no 

Password: you got in sms

 

5.  Click on the Manage Feeds

Now you would see like this

6.  Click on SMS

Now You will find an option to

Add Feed

Name:
URL:

 

7.  Now insert your orkut id in the space xxxxxxxxxxxxx

So now  this link will look like

(If 12345678910 is your id)

 

8.  Now paste this url in the space and name the feed as orkut scrap.

Now tick mark the Send SMS and click create

 

Now you are Done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
